Intellectual Property Unit - UPI UdeC

Directorate of Development and Innovation

This team is in charge of identifying and protecting the intangible assets generated at the University of Concepción by researchers, seeking to protect their creations, be they inventions, literary, scientific, or artistic works, in a simple way and as quickly as possible.
In addition, the Intellectual Property Unit (UPI) provides permanent training to university staff on intellectual property (IP) topics,through advice on patent application processes.

Competition

UDEC PROTECT TO TRANSFER

The Intellectual Property Unit of the Vice-Rector's Office for Research and Development of the University of Concepción announces the “UDEC PROTECT TO TRANSFER" Competition to finance the intellectual protection process of new knowledge generated by UdeC research teams, both nationally and internationally, to strengthen the marketing strategy of these intellectual assets.

Requirements to apply

N

The proposed inventions must present a real solution to a technical problem.

N

They must have some degree of development, with comparable benefits or comparative advantages.

N

The innovations must not have been previously submitted to any protection body in Chile or abroad.

N

Innovations must NOT be associated with projects that already contemplate financing for intellectual property.
